Our tomatoes went completely wild over the past 2 months, there were branches everywhere and some plants had fallen over and were leaning against each other. We've harvested a lot but there had been no maintenance since the baby came along 😆 There are still quite a few tomatoes out there so I decided I'll just go out and cut loads of leaves off to give them one last chance to ripen before it gets cold.
We picked a few (well I did, Jethro just slept) although some had split, and I grabbed the last couple of yellow courgettes:
This is how the tomato bed looks now 😅 very scruffy but productive! This is the first year our plants haven't all had to be pulled up early due to blight so we're pleased about that 👍
With the rain our nasturtiums have had a new lease of life, and we still have a couple of sunflowers although they are struggling to stay upright in the wind!
Lots of bright red rosehips along the fence which, dare I say it, looks quite Christmassy! Plus some purple hebe flowers which recently appeared:
And finally, our silver bush which has grown huge in the past 2 years, and Juni watching us through the window:
It was just nice to get outside and do something vaguely active after a very cosy, sleepy morning spent on the sofa whilst the rain poured down outside (although that was very enjoyable too) 😊
P.S. I rediscovered the Huji app that makes your photos look like you took them on a disposable camera.
P.P.S. After Sunday's mushroom hunting adventure I found a tick in my leg yesterday 😩
