A merry little christmas 🎁🎄🕯️

Hello again! I hope you had a wonderful and jolly christmas, even if it wasn't how you originally planned.

Firstly, an update on my jewel orchid - it has lots of tiny flowers and 2 more buds which haven't opened yet! That's a total of 7 (and last December it only had 1) 🌼 surviving and thriving!

The cyclamen has lots of red flowers, and I even bought some early daffodils from work last week!

This was our latest sourdough loaf......it looks quite pretty but was very small and dense because my starter is not doing well at the moment! I think it might be dead actually.......any tips would be appreciated!

Juniper very much enjoyed helping us with the christmas present wrapping 😆📦 we now have lots of ribbon bows in odd places around the house where she has carried them away and played with them. Her fetch skills are growing too, she is very athletic now.

On the Sunday before christmas we had a carol service outside in the church car park as it was the only way that everyone would be allowed to sing. It was fun, and very cold! But worth it to sing together for the first time in 9 months.

Look at Juniper being a little L shape:

I'm about halfway through my 2nd sock now, I don't think I'll have time to finish it ready to wear into 2021 (does anyone else keep typing 2012 by accident?! I do it every time) but it won't be too long. I'm already planning more pairs to make next year, perhaps one of my new year's resolutions should be to always have a pair of socks on the go at any time.

Beautiful sunset skies as I drove home from work early on christmas eve...it made a lovely change as it's usually pitch black when I leave at this time of year. One of the benefits of driving through the country lanes is that you can stop at pretty much any point for a photo opportunity.

Me enjoying the opportunity to wear a christmas jumper to work (and Juniper enjoying one of my jumpers):

Ed and I went for a walk last week, it was grey, VERY muddy, and a little bit drizzly but nice to be out stomping about in wellies. It made us excited for Spring and all the new sights it will bring.

🎄🎉 Christmas day!!!!!! 💫🎉🎈🎄🎶✨💚🌟🎊💒🍗🍊✨✨✨✨✨

Juniper enjoying burrowing in wrapping paper.

Yummy food shared with family.

A covid christmas 😂

Just documenting some of our sweet new additions to the tree and thinking about how we should have decorated trees indoors all year round...

This girl can't resist climbing in a box!

Boxing day boiled egg and soldiers.

Boxing day was a cosy pyjama day (as it should be), wearing new socks and catching up on Call the Midwife. We ate Ed's long awaited boxing day ham and I had fun decorating the table even though it was just for us two.

Juniper likes ham and approves of my soft new pjs with mini Junipers on 🐈🐈

Now the days of festive leftovers have begun...endless cheese and cracker meals, and some sort of chocolate or treat being within reaching distance at all times. Wonderful.
